Area Churches

 

Area church choirs and organists join in honoring the life and legacy of J.S. Bach by presenting a work by Bach and/or his contemporaries during their regular service. Participating churches will be part of a unique city-wide celebration of Bach's musical legacy.

29th Annual Bach Around the Block Organ Crawl

Monday, April 11, 2016, 7:00 p.m. 

Concert begins at First United Church, moves to First Presbyterian Church,

and concludes at St. Lukes Episcopal Church.

 

Presented in collaboration with American Guild of Organists - Southwest Michigan Chapter. FREE ADMISSION

 

The churches surrounding downtown's Bronson Park have some of the most magnificent pipe organs in all of Michigan. Come and hear three of them played by the area's most gifted organists at this progressive concert event.

Bach's Lunch Concert

Enjoy this light lunchtime concert featuring faculty, students, and friends of the Kalamazoo College community. Bring your own sack lunch for this delightful one-hour recital. Please contact the Bach office for more information.

Bach's Legacy Recital

Enjoy a program of chamber music performed by Kalamazoo's finest local talent. Works to be performed by a variety of vocalists and instrumentalists including soprano Katelin Spencer, bassoonist Jason Kramer, classical guitarist Dan Mervak, Kalamazoo's finest cello ensemble Octocelli and more! Sure to be a delightful evening of classical repertoire you won't want to miss!
